We are a small office with a mixture of older die-hard social service types and young people with an interest in the greater good of our community. The pace is fast, the workload heavy, and because we are serving the community, we have never met a community request or new project we didn't like.
After working on "the shift" for over a year, we finally convinced everyone that flex scheduling was just what we need to find some sanity, and we put it in place this month. Everyone chose either 9/80s, 4/10s or another flex schedule. Now, just four weeks later, people are planning on working on their off days or are taking work home (after working 40 hours!) The policy's in place, but now we all need to learn how to work within the new paradigm.
Can anyone point me in the direction of resources and support mechanisms to help my coworkers figure out how to keep the dream alive? I'll start with a link to this website, for sure, but are there other documents, websites, books to help me help them not give up?
