Step 4-Negotiate With Strength
Once you've thought through your proposal, it's time to talk. You'll want to come to this meeting prepared to cover the major points in your proposal. Be clear about exactly what it is you are proposing, and how you will make it work. Acknowledge any challenges the proposed arrangement could present to your manager, co-workers and internal and external customers. Then describe some solutions to these challenges, as objectively as possible.
Anticipate Questions. Be prepared to answer the manager's questions and know what your own questions are.
