Dr. Sandy Burud, Chief Strategy Officer, FlexPaths, is reponsible for product strategy and development of this new web portal on workplace flexibility solutions. She is the former President of the Alliance for Work-Life Progress, the professional association of work-life and workplace flexibility practitioners. She co-authored Leveraging the New Human Capital (Davies-Black), the Human Resource scholar’s ‘2004 Book of the Year’, a book that is changing the dialog about human capital and flexibility. She spent 25 years as consultant to large and mid-sized employers on work-life, flexibility, and human capital. She has directed two national grant-funded research projects and dozens of corporate research projects on innovative employee practices. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Peter Drucker School of Management, at Claremont Graduate University an invited lecturer on human capital. The consulting and management firm she founded in 1984 and directed for sixteen years, Burud & Associates, was acquired in 1996 by Bright Horizons (BFAM), which went public in 1999. Her work has been cited in the press for over 25 years and she has been a frequent presenter and keynote speaker at employer conferences and to corporations.
